A Child's Life Depends on You!

A Child's Life - Every 9 hours a baby dies in North Carolina

On average, each year, 1,000 infants die in North Carolina before reaching their first birthday -- that's one every 9 hours.

Many health professionals, educators, and community health advocates are already working to improve the lives of families across the state.

The North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation is coming to a location near you to discuss ways to promote the health of North Carolina's women, infants and children. Program coordinators are touring the state to talk about how our work at the North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation can support what you are already doing.

You are the people out there working with the public. You know better than anyone how great the needs are in your community. You are the people getting vital health information into the public's hands -- information that can keep a mother healthy and prevent the death or illness of a child.
