The North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation welcomes new outreach and education coordinator
Lolita Smith-Moore grew up in the eastern part of North Carolina (Chocowinity) and received her B.S. and M.A. degrees in Health Education and Promotion from East Carolina University. Lolita has worked with county health departments, non-profits, regional research projects and community health centers in Northeastern North Carolina. Her professional interests are: Maternal and Child Health, Health Disparities, Health Literacy, Reproductive Health and Cultural Competency. It is her passion to improve the quality of life of the community. Lolita is very excited to be a part of the N.C. Healthy Start Foundation and looks forward to continuing the Foundation's work to reduce infant mortality and morbidity and improve women and children's health in North Carolina.
