Now available! HC/NCHC fact sheets in SIX new languages

(5/08) - With the help of many hands, the 2008 Health Check/NC Health Choice Fact Sheet is now available online at the Outreach Web Site in 6 new languages: Arabic, Chinese (Traditional), Hmong, Korean, Rhade (a language of the Montagnard community) and Vietnamese. Our special thanks to the many individuals and organizations that facilitated the review of the original professional translations to ensure cultural and linguistic appropriateness.

When you open the electronic version of each fact sheet online and click "print", two pages will print out - the foreign language you choose and the English version. It is important to use these as "bilingual" Fact Sheets When printing multiple copies, choose the double-sided print option.

Out initial intent, due to budget limitations, was to have this available only online for individual organizations to print quantities as needed. However, we were able to print a very small number of each language (in color) which will allow each Health Check Coordinator (HCC) to have a few (10 of each) for any immediate needs. These are being mailed to each HCC statewide. HCCs will also be able to order additional small quantities (50 copies or less) if needed and while supplies last. We will also be providing copies of the new fact sheets to members of our targeted communities. This, of course, does not apply to the English/Spanish version of the fact sheet; these you may continue ordering online through the NC Healthy Start Foundation web site or by submitting a paper order form (by fax or mail).

Be selective and order only quantities that will facilitate any specific and targeted outreach efforts in your county. Consult with Norma at any time.
