Percent of population by census block group for different race/ethnicity groupings now available online

(6/04) -- Dianne Enright, Manager of the Geographic Analysis Unit, State Center for Health Statistics, produced GIS Maps reflecting the Percent of Population by Census Block Group for Different Race/Ethnicity Groupings. New printable maps are now available at this website. The Census Block Groups used in this analysis have a population between 600-3000 with 1500 as an ideal.

These maps show statewide patterns of population density by race/ethnicity and may be helpful as you consider how best to target and tailor outreach to minority populations in your communities.

Should you have questions,
Dianne Enright can be reached at 919-715-4473 or dianne.enright@ncmail.net.
