New Staff Join the State NC Health Choice Team

Welcome to Cinnamon Narron and Danielle
Matula!
Cinnamon Narron joined the staff of the Division of Medical Assistance in October
as the NC Health Choice Coordinator. Cinnamon is responsible
for coordination between DMA, Public Health and State Employees
Health Plan; researching, writing and interpreting Health Choice
policy under Title XXI; preparing amendments to the NCHC State
Plan and preparing mandated legislative reports. Contact Cinnamon

suggestions, or questions from the media related to NC Health
Choice. Prior to her employment in this position, Cinnamon worked
with the Johnston County Health Department in their Breast and
Cervical Cancer Program, with DMA Eligibility as a Policy Consultant,
and she has worked with Work First with the State Division of
Social Services.
Danielle Matula joined the Division of Public
Health this summer as the NC Health Choice Special Needs Program
Manager. In this position, Danielle will work closely with the
Specialized Services Unit on program planning/implementation
and on developing a system of care for children with special
health care needs. She will facilitate interagency collaboration
and provide oversight for behavioral health services delivered
through the NC Health Choice Program. Contact Danielle (919-707-5674)

needs. Prior to joining the state NC Health Choice team, Danielle
served as Resource Investment Director at Triangle United Way
where she worked on health and family issues. She has also worked
with the American Cancer Society and the NC Comprehensive Breast
and Cervical Cancer Control Coalition.
