Look for NC Healthy Start Foundation Web Site
(11/05)
-- As you may have noticed, the NC Healthy Start Foundation web
site has undergone an "extreme makeover" for its 15th year anniversary.
Although the HC/NCHC Outreach Workers Web Site is at the same
address (http://www.nchealthystart.org/outreach/), the neighborhood
has dramatically changed!
The NC Healthy Start Foundation website now consists of three different portals -- one for the Public, one for Professionals, and one for Spanish
speakers (titled "En Español" which is still under construction).
"For the Public" contains information about
free or low-cost Child Health Insurance. It also has an introduction
to what a Medical Home is and how to use it.
"For Professionals" has more specific program
and campaign information, as well as outreach materials.
As before, you can get to the Outreach Workers Web site quickly and easily by
"bookmarking" the Home page. If you are using Microsoft's Internet
Explorer, go to the Home page, go to the toolbar at the top of
the page, select "Favorites," and then select "Add to Favorites"
from the dropdown menu. If you are using Netscape Navigator,
go to the Home page and simply press Ctrl + D (press the Control
(CTRL) key and the letter "D" simultaneously).
The page will automatically be added to "Bookmarks" on the top toolbar. (In
older versions of Netscape Navigator, "Bookmarks" will appear
under "Communicator" on the top toolbar.)
The "En Español" section is slated to be up-and-running
by January 1, 2006. It will be an exact replica of the "For the
Public" website, with "Child Health Insurance" information available
in "Seguro médico para niños" and "Medical Home" information
in "Hogar Médico." Look for the upcoming announcement of its
grand opening.
