Updated HC/NCHC Powerpoint Presentations (in English and Spanish) Available Online

(4/06) -- The Health Check/NC Health Choice PowerPoint Presentations have been updated and are now available online for your use! Both presentations reflect the transition of children from birth through 5 from NC Health Choice to Health Check that became effective January 1, 2006 (see graph on page 6). The table on page 10 reflects the new HC/NCHC Income Guidelines (effective from April 1, 2006 to March 31, 2007). The revised Spanish presentation has the look and feel of the popular English version, with culturally appropriate photographs and information.

Just a reminder...

• Slides 1-6 are particularly suitable for those planning to assist with the outreach effort. We hope that these slides will help them appreciate the importance of outreach for child health insurance programs!

• Slides 7-24 are suitable for educating families, new staff to your agency, and new community partners who are learning about the state's child health insurance programs.

You can use each part separately and together for your various audiences. By portraying kids of all ages, race/ethnicities and children with special health care needs, we hope these presentations will be appropriate for the diverse audiences you plan to reach in your communities.
