Listen Up - First Steps for Helping Babies initiative

The North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation has teamed up
with North Carolina Central University's public radio station,  WNCU
- 90.7 FM in an effort to improve the health of infants
in African American and Latino communities. Through culturally
and linguistically appropriate radio programming, Listen
Up - First Steps for Helping Babies aims to increase
awareness and knowledge of health practices for mom and baby
before, during and after pregnancy. The initiative builds
on the Foundation's Minority
Infant Mortality Reduction Campaign and is funded by Sound
Partners for Community Health.
