You Are Not Alone

Many women (married or dating) are physically, verbally, emotionally, or financially abused by their partner. Many women say the abuse started, or got worse, when they were pregnant. If your partner abuses alcohol or other drugs, you may be at a greater risk of being hurt.

Ask Yourself:

  • Are you in a relationship where you have been hurt or threatened?
  • Do you feel your partner treats you badly?
  • Has your partner ever destroyed things you care about?
  • Has your partner ever forced you to have sex?
  • Has your partner ever hurt, threatened, or abused your children?
  • What happens when you and your partner disagree? Are there guns in the house?
  • Are you ever afraid of your partner?
  • Has your partner ever stopped you from leaving the house, seeing friends or family, getting a job or going to school?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, you do not deserve to be treated this way.
