The North Carolina Pediatric Society (NCPS) and the North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is one organization with two names representing over 1,200 pediatricians in the state. It is also the organization that is responsible for administering N.C. Covering Kids and Families. N.C. Covering Kids advances social justice by promoting public health insurance for children in low income, working families. It supports equity by reducing disparities and improving access to services, thereby enhancing the lives of children, families and communities now and in the future.
