Young Moms Connect website: a website created specifically for young women who are pregnant and/or parenting and are looking for health and safety information and resources for themselves or their child.
Health Check/NC Health Choice Outreach Web site
Get program updates and learn about great outreach strategies - searchable by county with local contact information. Information most relevant for community agencies and outreach workers focused on enrolling eligible children in North Carolina's publicly funded child health insurance programs.
Perinatal Substance Use Project: The Perinatal Substance Use Project provides information and referrals, training, and technical assistance to families and professionals in need of support for women who are pregnant and mothers struggling with substance abuse.
NC Medicaid family planning waiver: Free reproductive health services
for qualifying men and women in North Carolina.
Counseling Women Who Smoke (video): Counselors effectively model evidence-based counseling techniques using the 5A's (Ask, Advise, Assess, Assist and Arrange Follow-up) to assist patients engaged in varying stages of tobacco use.
The Maternal and Child Health events calendar: A month-by-month calendar of upcoming professional events which focus on women's and children's health.
