New Mother: Thanks for helping me with the baby, Ma.
Mother: You know I love spending time with my first grandbaby. (pause) What are your doing? I just laid her down. (loud whisper)
New Mother: I know Ma, but she should really sleep on her back.
Mother: Her back? Won't she wake up?
New Mother: No. She always sleeps on her back. It's the safest sleeping position for babies. I place her on her tummy to play. That's important too.
Mother: Hmmm...Her back to sleep and tummy to play. Why are you taking everything of of her crib? It looks TOO empty.
New Mother: Nothing should be in her crib while she's sleeping other than her blanket. Other objects in the crib increase the risk of her suffocating of choking. And Mom, I'm just not willing to take any chances.
Mother: How did you learn to be such a great mom?
New Mother: I learned a lot in my parenting class...but I learned even more from you, Mom.
