New Father: Hey, thanks for agreeing to babysit tonight, Mom. We should be back around 10.
Mother: You know I love taking care of my grandbaby (baby cooing, rocking chair creeking)
New Father: Karen just nursed him so he should be ready to go off to sleep.
Mother: He's falling asleep right now. I'll just go and put him in his crib.
New Father: Mom, make sure you lay him on his back. That's the safest sleeping position for babies. It also reduces the risk of SIDS.
Mother: OK.
New Father: Ma, and make sure everything is out of his crib except his blanket.
Mother: Yes, Michael.
New Father: And...
Mother: Uhhh, Michael. I raised you AND your brothers and sisters. (laugh) And I think I can handle little Mikey.
But I must admit...I'm really proud of you, son. Where did you learn how to be such a great Dad?
New Father: You know, I learned a lot in our parenting class...but I've learned even more from you and Dad.
