New Father: Wow, she is so beautiful. I still can't believe we have a baby. Is she still nursing?
New Mother: (smile) Yes. She's been nursing since a little after midnight. Honey, can you push my pillow up? That's perfect.
New Father: It is so great that you're nursing. I know you're tired. You haven't had much rest today.
New Mother: I am pretty sleepy, but I'm OK. Why don't you go on to sleep?
New Father: No...I'm going to stay up with you...just in case you fall asleep. When you finish nursing, I'll put her in her bassinet. You know, she's safest in her own space.
New Mother: OK, but make sure you...
New Father: I know..."Place her on her back and remove everything from her bassinet except her blanket". Don't worry. Daddy will always make sure his little girl is safe.
New Mother: You're such a great dad.
New Father: Thanks to you.
