Narrator: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS worries all families that have a baby under one year of age. North Carolina law and childcare rules designed to lower the risk of SIDS require childcare providers to:

• Place infants on their back to sleep
• Develop and maintain a written safe sleep policy
• Inform parents of the policy and
• Receive SIDS training
