Established statewide non-profitin Raleigh, NC is seeking qualified applicants for CPA position. Approximately 12-15 hours a week with flexible schedule. Must be able to work at nonprofit's office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare payroll
- Prepare quarterly payroll returns and make tax deposits
- Prepare W-2's
- Prepare month end journal entries
- Prepare monthly budget to actual reports for all contracts/grants
- Review monthly Contract Expenditure Reports
- Maintain and help prepare all contract/grants budgets and admin budget
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly board reports
- Reconcile petty cash
- Account reconciliations
- Key contact for annual external audit
- Maintain employee files
- Prepare Sales Tax Refund Returns
- Prepare Form 990
- Prepare W-2's
- Prepare business property listing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA in good standing
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel required; experience with Peachtree accounting software preferred
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Experience in nonprofit setting preferred
