Welcome to the "DJJDP Partnership" page of the Health Check (Medicaid) / NC Health Choice Outreach Web Site! We understand your vision to "provide the most effective services to youth and their families at the right time in the most appropriate setting." A key to assuring that youth have access to prevention, intervention and treatment services is access to health insurance.

The resources below are intended (1) to help prepare you for sharing child health insurance information with the families and youth you serve, and (2) to link you to the resources you might need in one click.

If you are new to this site, we encourage you to go through the orientation PPT presentation one time. You do not need to be an expert to promote NC's child health insurance programs. But becoming familiar with the information will help you feel more comfortable in your outreach role. Then print out the Facts at a Glance Handout (one two-sided page) for quick reference in your day to day work.
