Materials development and distribution
The cornerstone of the Foundation's public education
outreach strategy is the development and distribution
of educational materials, created to disseminate campaign
messages to diverse North Carolina audiences*. Our
collection of available materials are available in
English, Spanish or are bilingual (English/Spanish)
and include fact sheets, brochures, posters, self-help
workbooks, and reminder items such as magnets and pencils.
Topics range from pre-pregnancy health and nutrition,
to smoking cessation and children's health insurance.
With 50 catalog items, the Foundation distributes, free of charge annually,
nearly 4 million educational and promotional materials
to community-based organizations, health departments,
businesses, schools, child care facilities, and churches
across the state.

in conjunction with professional advisory groups and
input from representatives of the intended audience.
